Homelessness is a growing epidemic throughout the United States. National statistics are averaging that over 1.5 million people in the United States are living in shelters, and transitional housing. Also, an estimated 700,000 are homeless due to shelters over crowdedness.
Georgia ranks 5th as having the largest homeless population, and 1 out of the 10 states that has the highest percentage of child homelessness.
PLEASE JOIN OUR EFFORTS TO END HOMELESSNESS
Our goal is to help each individual achieve ultimate self determination, resident stability, and improve job skills. These goals are achieved through our transitional housing programs and service plans provided by our affiliates.
WAYWARD HOMES INC. is a Georgia based nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing to persons that are homeless or close to homelessness. We work towards building a more humane environment where people can develop to reach their full potential. Wayward Homes provides a place where the at risk population can receive assistance. Through our program, goals are met and clear paths to being productive members of society are mapped out for our clients on a case by case basis. Our program transitions them to become more self sufficient and economically independent.
Join our efforts to make a difference in our communities by donating and volunteering your time in one of our fundraising campaigns. With your help we can make a difference.
